players that someone would win after only the minimum amount of numbers were called. We lost interest very quickly. We only played once. Between Robert and I, we won $225.00. Of course, don't ask us how much we spent buying Bingo cards! The crowd on the Prinsendam is older so the energy level has been much lower. That is nice in creating a relaxed, laid back atmosphere. However it also means less excitement. There were very few young people on board which gave our 2004 cruise a higher level of enthusiasm. I missed having Karaoke like we enjoyed last year. As far as I know there were only a couple teens, a pre-teen and one baby on board this time. No weddings, no big family groups. Special touches to our cruise included a bowl of fresh fruit in our room every day. There was also a new towel creature sitting on our bed most every night; creations like fish, dogs, sting rays, elephants, and butterflies. Especially delightful for me were the four to five course dinners we enjoyed every night in the La Fontaine formal dining room. Eating out in style night after night makes one feel royal! This may actually be my favorite part of the cruise. The food was well prepared and the variety impressive. We are not ending this cruise on a high note however. I am getting over a cold and Robert, having had to see the infirmary doctor twice with a lower leg malady, is having to take it easy today keeping his right leg elevated. Too many small seats on buses, tenders, lounges and the plane apparently have been too hard on his long legs. Tomorrow morning we disembark and head to a hotel in Amsterdam before boarding a plane back to San Francisco on Wednesday.
